Did you feel the heavens trembling yesterday morning? Cause I’m tellin’ you, they did. Sinners were being saved, hearts were being changed, and God’s people were all singing “Glory, Glory!!” This weekend was baptism bash at Lifechurch.tv, the church we are attending in Stillwater, and I don’t think I can adequately express to you the power of the Holy Spirit in that place. In our service (the third of five every weekend) there were six people who chose to be baptized in order to declare the power of God in their lives. They brought in an enormous above ground pool and set it up at the front of the auditorium and then had the baptism service right in the middle of the time of worship. The people were being dunked and the congregation was literally singing praises to God all at the same time. Several of the baptizees came up out of the water literally jumping for joy, grabbing their loved ones, weeping in gratitude. And every time, the congregation would hoot and holler and clap their hands in worship and praise! It was amazing. I think you’ll love the lyrics to the song we sang:

It’s the song of the redeemed rising from the African plain.
It’s the song of the forgiven drowning out the Amazon rain,
the song of Asian believers filled with God’s holy fire.
It’s every tribe, every tongue, every nation, a love song born of a grateful choir.
It’s all God’s children singing, “Glory, glory, hallelujah, He reigns. He reigns.”
It’s all God’s children singing, “Glory, glory, hallelujah, He reigns. He reigns.”

Let it rise above the four winds, caught up in the heavenly sound.
Let praises echo from the towers of cathedrals to the faithful gathered underground.
Of all the songs sung from the dawn of creation, some were meant to persist.
Of all the bells rung from a thousand steeples, none rings truer than this.
All God’s children singing, “Glory, glory, hallelujah, He reigns. He reigns, He reigns.”
All God’s children singing, “Glory, glory, hallelujah, He reigns. He reigns, He reigns.”

And all the powers of darkness tremble at what they’ve just heard.
‘Cause all the powers of darkness can’t drown out a single word
when all God’s children sing out, “Glory, glory, hallelujah, He reigns. He reigns, He reigns.” (Newsboys, He Reigns)

Just in case you’ve come to a place in your life where it seems like God is boring, or He isn’t moving…just in case you are feeling spiritually dead or uninspired, I just wanted you to know that God is still as big as you thought He was when you first came to know Him. Maybe even bigger! He is still moving and working and changing lives and He is more than ready to rock your world.

Why not spend a little time today asking Him to do it?
